Frequently asked questions
What kind of workshops do you offer?
We run relaxed, beginner-friendly art and craft workshops in Dublin designed for adults who want to switch off, get creative, and try something new.
No pressure, no perfection - just good vibes and space to make something you will love.
What is an Art Café?
It's a place where arts and crafts are on the menu.
Instead of ordering coffee and cake, you choose an arts or crafts activity, settle in, and spend a couple of hours creating.
You can bring your favourite non-alcoholic drink (we're right beside some of Dublin's best coffee!) or pick up a cold drink from our fridge, then relax, slow down and enjoy getting into your creative flow.
Is it BYOB?
Our workshops at 65 South William Street are not BYOB. We’ve created a relaxed, social space where you can unwind, get creative, and enjoy a different kind of night out. We have a range of cold drink options from our fridge including kombucha, live sodas and more.
(We’re right beside Butlers too, if you fancy a chocolate fix beforehand).
Events we host in other locations may allow alcohol - please check the event description for specific details.
Why is it called Create & Sip if you don't allow alcohol?
It's a question we get asked a lot!
Create & Sip originally began as a series of BYOB pop-up workshops, where we travelled to bars and venues across Dublin hosting creative experiences.
Since opening our own studio we've evolved into so much more than that.
We made the decision to keep our space intentionally alcohol-free because we realised it was never really about alcohol. It was about slowing down, getting creative, connecting with others and taking a little time for yourself.
We've also seen more and more people looking for fun ways to socialise that aren't centred around drinking, and we're proud to be one of those spaces.
So, what does the "Sip" mean now?
We have a selection of non-alcoholic drinks available from our fridge, including kombucha, live sodas and other refreshing options. You're also very welcome to bring your own favourite non-alcoholic drink to enjoy while you create.
Will we change our name one day? Maybe!
But for now, Create & Sip represents our journey and we're really proud of the brand we have built 💛
Is there an age limit?
Our workshops and art café sessions are suitable for ages 13+. A supervising adult must attend and purchase a ticket for the workshop with ages 13-17.
Can I walk in without a booking?
We recommend booking online in advance. We're a small studio with limited seating, so spaces fill up quickly.
If you'd like to pop in our public opening hours are:
🗓️ Wednesday – Friday: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
🗓️ Saturday: 12:30pm – 6:00pm
🗓️ Sunday: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
We'll always do our best to fit you in, but we can't guarantee availability, particularly on weekends.
Booking ahead is the best way to make sure your table is ready and waiting for you 💛
Do I need any experience?
Not at all. Our workshops are made for complete beginners as well as anyone who just wants to get back into their creative flow.
We offer self guided sessions at our art café and also guided workshops so you can choose your vibe.
Can I come by myself?
Absolutely! Lots of our guests come on their own.
Our workshops and Art Café sessions are relaxed, welcoming spaces where you can enjoy some creative time for yourself or chat with others if you'd like. Whether you're looking for a bit of "me time" or hoping to meet new people, you'll feel right at home.
Where are you located?
You’ll find us at:
65 William St S, Dublin 2, D02 TH24
We’re right in the heart of the city - ideal if you’re looking for fun things to do in Dublin city centre.
Our studio is located above Johnny Rush's Pub- details to enter the building will be sent once you buy a ticket.
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
Due to the nature of our events and limited availability, all bookings are non-refundable.
Bookings may be rescheduled once, provided we receive notice at least 72 hours before the scheduled event by emailing info@createandsip.ie
Requests to reschedule made within 72 hours of the event cannot be accommodated, and the booking will be forfeited. Failure to attend an event ("no-show") will also result in the loss of the booking, and no credit or transfer will be issued. No exceptions.
If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member at no additional charge.
Create & Sip reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or make changes to an event where necessary. In the event that we need to cancel or restructure an event, affected customers will be contacted and offered the option of transferring to an alternative date or receiving a full refund.
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to these terms and conditions.
Is the venue accessible?
Our studio on South William Street is on the first floor of an old building which unfortunately means it is not wheelchair accessible.
We do occasionally host workshops in other venues that are accessible - so we recommend checking the event location details on our workshop booking page.
